For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but He has given us a spirit of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7 – Amplified).
A fear based life is an unsettled life. What’s going to happen in my future, in my home, in my travels, in my body, in my finances? A faith based life expects God to act in every circumstance and situation that life brings.
A fear based life is based on feelings and circumstances. A faith based life is a life that is lived by the Word of God! What God says settles everything to the faith based life. A calmness, a rest, a hope, a security, and great joy accompanies the faith based life. Depression, gloom, irritability, dread, hopelessness, and tiredness accompany the fear based life.
I have been surprised over the last almost three years at the number of believers that know better, but have chosen a path of fear instead of bold faith in what God’s Word says about them. These last several years have revealed many who have a surface belief in the promises of God. But like a plant with a shallow root system during a drought, they have caved to the opinions presented by strong media voices and yielded to an attitude of fear.
I strongly urge you to make the switch today to be a person who lives by Word of God based on faith and not by fear based sight! Fear is a tool that will be used over and over worldwide to control people’s actions and choices. Be one of those that refuse to bend to it!
When we choose to believe in and live by God’s promises, each day becomes an adventure as we talk to God throughout the day and strategize with His Word about the details of what we’re dealing with. Faith based living does not consult with the flesh, circumstances or opinion. What God says through His Word rules the faith based, fear-free life.
Fear attracts satanic activity, and draws a person into difficulty. The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe (Proverbs 29:25). Job ascribed his troubles to his fear that opened the door for the enemy to attack him. For the thing I greatly feared has come upon me, and what I dreaded has happened to me (Job 3:25).
Don’t allow fear to rule your life. Instead, fill yourself with the Word. Ask yourself what the Word of God says about every area of life. Say out loud exactly what God's Word says about your particular situation. Say it over and over. God's Word spoken. out loud can cancel the fear thoughts and the fear emotions. Refuse fear and the emotional baggage it brings. Lift your hands, praise God, and declare the Lordship of His Word over your life! Speak the Word and run fear out of your life today!
